Embrace Challenges of Communal Living - Sanwo-Olu to Lagos Corps Members

Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu, has told 2023 Batch "B" Stream II corps members to embrace the challenges that come with communal living as they have all been trained to adapt to new environments.

Myschoolnews reports Governor Sanwoolu made this statement at the closing ceremony of the 3-week Orientation course today at the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja.

The Governor who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, Mr. Tunde Sesan Ogundeko Mni, also said, their experience in networking with Compatriots from other backgrounds has not only prepared them for the tasks ahead but has also instilled in them a deep sense of unity that transcends ethnic, cultural and regional boundaries.

While encouraging the corps members to face any challenge they may encounter headlong, he said "address challenges, and contribute to the delivery projects that will positively impact on the lives of host communities."

He urged them to exemplify the lessons of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork that you have imbibed during your time in the Camp.

Meanwhile, State Coordinator NYSC Lagos, Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa, has expressed optimism that the corps members will perform excellently having imbibed the tenets of the scheme. She said while on camp, they exhibited a high level of discipline and were fully involved in camp administration from the beginning of camp.

She encouraged them to not stay idle during the service year but to learn skills in order for them to be self-reliant at the end of service.
