The event was held in line with the directive of the Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, to faculties and departments to establish such a forum, where students could be free to voice out their individual or collective issues in their departments and faculties for them to be addressed, so as to foster good Staff-Students' relationship in the University.
He commended the vice-chancellor for creating the enabling environment, saying that, the forum, especially with the 400-level students is very important and apt as they are about to graduate.
At the event, topics discussed were "minimum credit units required for graduation," presented by Prof. Victoria Pam, and "channel of communication," presented by Dr Johnson Abimbola.
Other topic discussed at the event was "carry-over, to repeat and to register courses: what are the future implications," presented by Dr Mohammed Abubakar.
Questions, comments and observations were made and answers were provided.
In his remarks, the faculty officer, Mr Tapshak Musa Pwul, appreciated the dean of the faculty for hosting the event while commending the vice-chancellor for granting the approval to host what he described as an unprecedented forum.
Tapshak further appreciated the three paper presenters saying that: "your presentations has exposed these students to the reality of University studies and how to manage their courses and carryovers in order to achieve their desired CGPA's by knowing the implications of carryover to their studies and how it affects their CGPA's."
"I believe with this wealth of experience and depth in knowledge by our speakers, the papers presented today will yield a lot of quality results on our 400 level students."
He said.
He thanked students for attending and listening to the programme, saying "your good conduct during the questions and comments session, was a beautiful interactive session."
