Federal University Gusau Announces Verification Exercise for 200 Level Students

Federal University Gusau has released details regarding the upcoming Certificates Verification Exercise for current 200 level students in the 2023/2024 academic session.

The exercise, organized by the Students' Verification Committee, aims to ensure the authenticity of students' credentials.

Scheduled to take place from February 5th to February 20th, 2024, the exercise will be conducted across different faculties on specific dates. The Council Chamber Faculty of Science will serve as the venue, operating from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday to Saturday.

The verification exercise will follow a strict schedule:

February 5th-6th: Faculty of Humanities

February 7th-9th: Faculty of Education

February 10th-14th: Faculty of Science

February 15th-17th: Faculty of Management & Social Sciences

February 19th-20th: Other Issues

It's imperative for students to adhere strictly to the allocated dates for their respective faculties. The committee requires students to present original copies of various documents, including SSCE certificates, A-level certificates (for Direct Entry students), JAMB/IJMB result/DE slip, JAMB Admission letter, primary school certificate/testimonial, birth certificate or declaration of age, secondary school testimonial, certificate of indigene, and transcripts for Direct Entry students.

It's important to note that the verification committee will not accept statement of results, photocopies, scanned copies, or any other documents apart from the original copies specified in the requirements.

Attahiru Abubakar, acting on behalf of the Chairman, emphasizes the significance of compliance with the exercise guidelines to ensure a smooth and successful verification process.

The announcement has been circulated to various university officials, including the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, Registrar, Librarian, Bursar, Dean of Student Affairs, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments, Chief Security Officer, and Information Officer, along with display on all notice boards across the university.

This verification exercise presents an essential opportunity for students to ensure the authenticity of their academic documents, facilitating a credible academic journey at Federal University Gusau.
