The University Management welcomes all fresh and returning students to the Campus and wishes you you a peaceful and meaningful stay throughout your academic Programmes. Management wishes to draw your attention to following information.
I. PROHIBITION OF ACCOMMODATION IN HIGH RISK AREAS:
In view of the high risk festering insecurity in the state, the Manager strongly advise students not to take accommodation in high risk areas (Damba and it's environs or outskirt). Students are advised in their own interest not to take accommodation in these areas. alternatively students can take accommodation downtown where security is guaranteed. For those who have taken accommodation in such areas, they are advised to relocate to safe haven.
Students should note that anybody who fails to heed this advice and take accommodation in the high risk areas does so at his or her own risk and University will not be liable in event of any unfortunate Incident. To be fore warned is to be fore armed.
II. BANNING OF UNAUTHORIZED GATHERING:
Students are always encouraged to exercise their freedom of association as enrished in the constitution but within the confines of the law, students should relate and associate with colleagues but within the bonds of the University rules and regulations as contained in the Students Handbook. Students' should always bear in mind that their primary objective of being here, is to obtain a Degree an should therefore remain focused and not get distracted.
Students should note that unauthorized gathering in any guise or form is not allowed and should therefore desist from such unlawful gathering.
The University authorities will not hesitate to apply appropriate sanctions on defaulters as contained in the Students' Handbook.
III. OUTLAW OF UNREGISTERED CLUBS AND ASSOCIATION
Clubs and Association that are not duly registered with the Student Affairs Division as stipulated in the Students' Handbook are outlawed. Officials of such clubs and Associations are advised to follow due process and get registered. All concerned should note that any activities by such clubs and Associations on the Campus contravene the law and those involved would be appropriately sanctioned.
