LASUED Conducts 2025/2026 Library Orientation for Fresh Students
Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Oto/Ijanikin Main Campus, has successfully conducted a two-day library orientation programme for newly admitted students, aimed at familiarizing them with the university’s library resources, services, and operations.
Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Oto/Ijanikin Main Campus, has successfully conducted a two-day library orientation programme for newly admitted students, aimed at familiarizing them with the university’s library resources, services, and operations.

The orientation targeted 100-level full-time degree students and 200-level direct entry students. The main campus students were divided into two groups: Group A, comprising the College of Information Technology Education (COITED) and the College of Science Education (COSED), attended their session on Monday, 12 January 2026, while Group B, consisting of the College of Humanities Education (COHED) and College of Management Sciences Education (COMSED), participated on Thursday, 15 January 2026.
Facilitators, including Mrs. R.A. Shittu and Mr. J.A. Olowolagba, guided students on library ethics, rules, conduct, and operating procedures. Students were taken on a library tour, instructed on resource utilization, and issued library cards with step-by-step guidance on how to use them. Additional support was provided by Mr. Adeyemi, Mr. Adegun, and other library staff members.
Meanwhile, students of the other four colleges, including the College of Specialized and Professional Education (COSPED) and the College of Language and Communication Arts Education (COLCAED) at Odo-Noforija Epe Campus, held their own library orientation sessions on Thursday, 15 January, and Friday, 16 January 2026, respectively.
The orientation forms part of LASUED’s ongoing efforts to ensure that students are well-equipped to maximize the university’s academic resources for effective learning and research.
