Kashifu Inuwa, the Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), has called for a significant revamp of educational curricula at all levels to incorporate essential 21st-century digital skills. Speaking during a meeting with the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) in Abuja, Inuwa highlighted the necessity of aligning educational reforms with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The agenda aims to leverage digital technologies to create millions of jobs and achieve a 70% digital literacy rate by 2027. Inuwa emphasized that the rapid evolution of technology globally necessitates a curriculum that prepares students to excel in the digital age.
