NSE Benin Boosts Engineering Education at UNIBEN with Research Material Donation

The Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) Benin branch has generously contributed research materials to the University of Benin (UNIBEN) Departments of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Production Engineering, and Civil Engineering.

The Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) Benin branch has generously contributed research materials to the University of Benin (UNIBEN)  Departments of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Production Engineering, and Civil Engineering. 

The Chairman of the NSE’s Benin,Evukowhiroro Ojegba relayed that the materials’ donation is a part of the NSE’s commitment to fostering the growth and advancement of engineering at the university.

Ojegba stated that the NSE’s Benin branch has consistently been a leading supporter of communities and schools, contributing to societal development. He emphasized that his leadership is dedicated to promoting the engineering profession through research and innovation.

Ojegba expressed, “Our collective aspiration is to propel the progress of engineering in society by donating research materials to tertiary institutions. We have donated materials to the Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Production Engineering, and Civil Engineering departments of the University of Benin. "

He further stated "I am confident that the students will greatly benefit from these donations and, hopefully, they will excel in their respective fields of study. Under my stewardship, the branch remains steadfast in its commitment to the advancement of the engineering profession through research and innovation.”

Ojegba praised the members for their financial contributions, which made the donation of the research materials to the three departments possible. He pledged to continue initiating commendable programs and activities that would elevate the NSE’s Benin branch to a distinguished and respected position.

Prof. Emmanuel Ogujor, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, who accepted the materials on behalf of the faculty, applauded the NSE’s Benin branch for their generous act and assured that the materials would be utilized effectively.
