The management of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), is poised to collaborate with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) to enhance digital literacy among its students and staff. This initiative will involve the adoption of CISCO Certification programs, aimed at equipping individuals with essential digital skills.

Discussions regarding this collaboration took place during a recent meeting led by Professor Maikano Ari, Chairman of the ICT Roadmap Committee and Committee of Deans of Directors at NSUK. He was joined by Mr. Oladeji Olaoye, who represented NITDA's Director-General, Kashifu Inuwa.

The meeting provided the NSUK delegation an opportunity to visit the Command and Control Room of NITDA, as well as the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (NCAIR). This firsthand experience allowed university officials to gain insight into NITDA’s operations and the potential benefits of their collaboration.

The NSUK delegation included Dr. Idris Sule, Director of the ICT Centre; Dr. Taibat Ibrahim, Deputy Director of the Entrepreneurship Development Centre; Dr. Gilbert Aimufua, Deputy Director of the Centre for Cyberspace Studies; Dr. Emmanul Chaku, Desk Officer for the Technology and Innovation Support Centre; and Dr. Musa Safiyanu Adam of the NSUK ICT Centre.
