Right Attitude, Mindset & Focus Key to Pupils Development While Teaching - Ministry of Education

A director in the Lagos State Ministry of Education, Mr. Olujide Ejiwunmi, has said right attitude, right mindset and focus are instrumental for a teacher towards building a foundation for those they teach.

According to the Director, for a teacher to be successful in the twenty-first century, they must be emotionally intelligent to understand their own emotions as well as that of others stating that this intelligence helps in self-awareness, self-management, adaptability, networking etc.

He added that that corps members who would be posted to serve as teachers must be resourceful and must be informed as these will aid teaching and learning in the classroom.

Myschoolnews reports he also urged the corps members to be disciplined if they wish their pupils imbibe such and keep to time in all they do, as well as dressing appropriately in a way befitting of a professional teacher, shunning provocative or suggestive outfits.
