A delegation from Teach For Nigeria (TfN) has lauded the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) for its outstanding facilities and serene academic atmosphere during the hosting of the 2025 Pre-Service Training Institute (PSTI), describing the institution as highly conducive for learning, training, and research.

The delegation expressed satisfaction with FUNAAB’s stable power and water supply, comfortable accommodation, and well-maintained campus environment, noting that these amenities contributed greatly to the success of their programme.
In a show of continued partnership, TfN revealed plans to return to FUNAAB on August 10, 2026, and also expressed interest in involving the University’s professors as facilitators in future capacity-building initiatives — a move that underscores the institution’s reputation for academic excellence and innovation.
The visit, led by TfN Programme Director, Ms. Bosede Ogidan, served as a post-programme review to assess infrastructure, learning conditions, and participant welfare. The team was warmly received by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, who represented the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde.
Discussions centred on enhancing teaching and learning spaces, improving welfare support, and deepening institutional collaboration. Key recommendations included establishing a crèche for nursing mothers, introducing flexible seating in lecture spaces, constructing a multipurpose large lecture theatre, and optimising existing facilities for greater utilisation.
The delegation also stressed the importance of physical wellness, suggesting regular campus walks for participants to promote health and appreciation of FUNAAB’s serene environment.

The visit concluded on a note of mutual respect and shared vision, as both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to advancing educational quality through strategic partnerships and sustainable development initiatives.
