ULWS to Conduct Second Session of Digital Skills Training Programme for Members
The University of Lagos Women Society (ULWS) is set to host the second session of its Digital Skills Training Programme for its members on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) Information Technology Hub (NITHub), UNILAG.
Organized by the Innovation and Technology Committee of ULWS, the training programme aims to empower members with essential digital skills in alignment with the FUTURE-READY agenda of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor T. Ogunsola, OON, FAS. It forms part of the activities planned by the Society to commemorate International Women’s Day 2024.
The first session of the programme, held on Saturday, March 3, 2024, saw a notable turnout of participants, including Dr. Taiwo Folasade Ipaye, former Registrar of the University and President of the Society, as well as distinguished personalities such as Professor Olayinka Asekun, a Professor of Chemistry; Dr. (Mrs) Ogbolumani, Deputy Director at the Hub; and Dr. Chika Yinka-Banjo, an Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Specialist.
The Digital Skills Training Programme underscores ULWS's commitment to equipping its members with the necessary tools and knowledge to thrive in an increasingly digital world. By providing access to training sessions led by experts in the field, the Society aims to empower women with the skills needed to succeed in various professional and personal endeavors.
