UNIABUJA Student Affairs Advises NELFUND Beneficiaries on Fee Payment and Reimbursement Procedures
The Student Affairs Division of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has issued an internal memorandum to all students utilizing the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) scheme, outlining critical procedures for school fees payment and subsequent reimbursement.
The memo, dated Friday, 7th February 2026 (Ref. No: UA/SAD/026), clarifies the administrative process beneficiaries must follow to ensure their financial obligations to the university are met and their funds are processed correctly.
Signed by the Dean, Student Affairs Division, Professor Simon Malang Kawe, the directive addresses two distinct groups of NELFUND beneficiaries:
For those yet to pay fees: All students on the NELFUND scheme who have not yet settled their 2025/2026 academic session fees are instructed to endeavor to pay the required amount in full. Following payment, they must formally apply for reimbursement through the Dean of Student Affairs, directed to the University Bursar.
For those who have paid: Students already enrolled in the scheme who have independently paid their school fees for the 2025/2026 academic session are also advised to initiate the application process for reimbursement immediately.
The memo concludes with a directive for all affected students to be guided accordingly by the outlined procedures.
