University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) celebrates successful student elections amidst electricity and water supply issues; Vice-Chancellor commends student resilience.

The University of Ilorin recently concluded its student general elections with resounding success. The elections, hailed as free, fair, and credible, saw the emergence of a new student leadership ready to lead the affairs of the university community.
Addressing the student body, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, congratulated the newly elected leaders on their victory. He commended the outgoing executives for their outstanding tenure, ooutlining their contributions to the university's vibrant campus life.

In his address, Prof. Egbewole acknowledged the challenges currently facing the university, particularly disruptions in electricity and water supply due to issues with the IBEDC. Despite these difficulties, he praised the students for their resilience, perseverance, and commitment to academic excellence.
"We remain committed to creating a conducive environment for teaching and learning," Prof. Egbewole affirmed, emphasizing the university's dedication to overcoming present challenges swiftly and effectively.
Looking ahead, the Vice-Chancellor reassured students of ongoing efforts to resolve the utility issues permanently. He urged patience and understanding, promising that the university administration is working tirelessly to restore normalcy.
