WAAW Foundation UDUS Chapter Inspires Girls to Embrace STEM at SAUTUL HAQQ Schools

On Friday, the Working to Advance Science and Technology Education for African Women (WAAW) Foundation UDUS chapter, led by Ahmed Mariam Wuraola, organized an outreach event at SAUTUL HAQQ Schools in Dendima.
The WAAW Foundation is dedicated to increasing the participation of African women in STEM through education, mentorship, and community engagement. This initiative aimed to inspire young students, particularly girls, to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Through interactive activities, including a fun-filled experiment session and motivating discussions led by members of the WAAW UDUS chapter, students were introduced to the exciting opportunities within STEM fields and learned about the Foundation's mission to empower African women in these vital areas. The enthusiastic participation and insightful questions from the students demonstrated a strong interest in pursuing STEM education.
Ahmed Mariam Wuraola, the organizer of the event, shared, “We believe that by inspiring young girls today, we are shaping the innovators and leaders of tomorrow.” The event left a positive and lasting impact, fostering hopes of encouraging future innovators and leaders in the community.
