Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) in Bauchi is gearing up for a historic moment as it announces its 26th, 27th, 28th, and 29th Combined Convocation Ceremony scheduled for Saturday, February 24, 2024.

The event promises to be a remarkable celebration of academic excellence, bringing together graduands from the academic years 2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2020-2021, and 2021-2022.

Programme Highlights:

Day 1:

Commissioning of 19 completed projects at Yelwa and Gubi campuses by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, and other distinguished guests.

Day 2:

Alumni Orientation Exercise at Yelwa campus.

Procession and Award of prizes: Diplomas, First Degree, Postgraduates, and Honorary degrees.

Day 3:

Convocation Ceremony at the Temporary Convocation Square between Library and CBT Building, Gubi campus.

Induction of graduands into the ATBU Alumni Association.

Convocation Lecture by Professor Umar Pate, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Kashere, on "Education and Nigeria's National Integration in the Digital Age. Matters Arising."

Exhibition at the Faculty of Environmental Technology, Yelwa campus.

Alumni Cocktail Party.

Important Notices to Graduands:

Assemble behind the Library, Gubi campus, on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 8:30 am for the procession.

All graduands should be fully robed and arranged in alphabetical order of faculties.

No graduands will be allowed into the Convocation square after 9:00 am.

Financial Information for Graduands:

Payments for Book of Proceedings, Alumni fee, and Academic Gown fee are mandatory for certificate collection.

Alumni fees of N5,000 should be paid into the ATBU National Alumni Association account.

Notes on Accreditation and Security:

Journalists, camera men, and photographers covering the Convocation will be accredited on Friday, February 23, 2024, at the old Council Chamber, Yelwa Campus, between 10:00 am and 12:00 noon.

Payments can be done via Remita, with detailed instructions for easy processing.
