Ambrose Alli University Implements Solutions to Address ICT System Challenges

Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, has approved several measures to tackle recurring challenges in its ICT result processing system, following a Senate meeting held on November 6, 2024.

These measures are aimed at resolving issues affecting students' academic records and ensuring a smoother process moving forward.

Highlights of the Approved Solutions:

1. Session Extension Clarifications: Students who paid fees but were not registered due to system errors will no longer be penalized with session extensions. This prevents their inclusion in the Amnesty Program unnecessarily.

2. Course Upgrades for Final-Year Students: Students who failed lower-level courses and did not re-register for them will now have the option of upgrading these courses in their final year without the need to re-register.

3. Waiver for Returning Graduates: Graduates retaking GST and ENT courses already passed in prior sessions will be exempt from retaking them.

4. Late Registration for Previous Sessions: Students unable to register for sessions before 2021/2023 will now be allowed to register, provided they pay the necessary fees, including late registration charges.

5. Reconciliation of Uncredited Payments: A deadline of November 30, 2024, has been set for students to submit proof of payments made via bank or POS that have not reflected in the system. This will allow the university to resolve such issues and update students' records.

8. Curriculum Stability: The university has assured that no curriculum changes will affect students during their program duration.
