Bayero University Kano (BUK) is poised to incorporate the CI 4 Stem Formula into its Curriculum Development, as announced by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas.

In an interactive session held on Tuesday, 28 November, 2023, at the Senate's Committee Room, the Vice-Chancellor, represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Islamic Studies, Prof. Ibrahim Garba Satatima, expressed admiration for the impressive achievements of the CI 4 Stem Project and its potential integration into the university's Core Curriculum Minimum of Academic Standards (CCMAS).

Prof. Abbas commended the researchers and recognized the transformative outcomes witnessed in the CL4STEM modules, a project piloted by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada, in various countries, including Nigeria.

Global Project Leader, Prof. Nuhu Obaje, highlighted the project's successes, emphasizing the shift from traditional classroom practices to innovative instructional and assessment approaches in participating countries. Notable improvements included enhanced teacher-student engagement, collaborative learning environments fostering higher-order thinking, and the promotion of formative and diagnostic assessment strategies.

Abdullahi Kawu, the nodal officer from IBBUL, delved into the technical aspects of the CL4STEM project during his presentation, while Prof. Garba Shu'aibu, the State Coordinator representing Kano, lauded the involvement of BUK staff in the project, fostering professional development for future educators.

The meeting also witnessed the presentation of certificates to twenty participants from various schools, marking the culmination of successful close-out meetings in Kano and Kaduna on the CL4STEM Project.
