Federal University Dutsinma Welcomes Visitor Amidst Insecurity Concerns
Despite security concerns and bandit activities in the surrounding area, Federal University Dutsinma, Katsina State, received a warm welcome for a recent visitor and their team.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Armiyau Bichi, and the management team expressed surprise and gratitude for the visit, citing a lack of visitors due to insecurity fears.
The visitor, who remains unnamed, held a productive meeting with the management team and toured the University Center for Gender Study, aimed at partnering for the execution of the GEEP project. The project, conceptualized by the visitor's office under the chairmanship of Hon Judith Ogbara, focuses on gender education, engagement, entrepreneurship, and empowerment.

The visitor inspected facilities including the Library, ICT center, and newly completed Lecture Theatre and office spaces designated to be named after them. They also assessed the situation at the main campus, which has been affected by bandit attacks, to gain insight for federal government action.
The visitor commended the university's facilities, including the Entrepreneur Center, and assured the students and management of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's commitment to transforming and repositioning the education sector. They promised renewed effort to ensure the return to the main campus soonest.
The visit also included gracing the additional Matriculation ceremony of 500 students of the School of Continuing Education, sponsored by Dist. Sen. Barau Jibril. The visitor commended the Deputy Senate President for his passion for education development and support for students.
The visitor advised the matriculating students to be law-abiding, focused, and determined, and announced a session scholarship for 50 female students through the GEEP project. The students' union government and associations honored the visitor and GEEP project chairperson with awards of excellence for their commitment to student and education welfare.
The visitor assured continued support, collaboration, and solidarity with the university, emphasizing a quick return to the main campus."
