The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has achieved a strong feat with the accreditation of 14 academic programmes, marking a moment of triumph for the institution. This development was confirmed through a letter from Abraham Chundusu, the Acting Director of Accreditation at the National Universities Commission (NUC), addressed to Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, the Vice-Chancellor of FULafia.

Following the accreditation exercises conducted by the NUC in October and November 2023, several programmes at FULafia have been granted full accreditation status. These programmes include Agriculture, Fishery and Aquaculture, Forestry and Wildlife Management, Medical Laboratory Science, and Physiology. Additionally, disciplines such as English and Literary Studies, French, Theatre and Media Arts, Business Education, Biochemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Zoology, and Social Works have also received full accreditation.

In addition to the accredited programmes, the Faculty of Basic Medical Science and Computer Science secured interim accreditation for its Anatomy and Computer Science courses, demonstrating steady progress towards full accreditation.
