FULafia Students Stranded After Heavy Rainfall Floods Lecture Halls
Lecture halls at the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) have been rendered inaccessible following a week of heavy rainfall in Nasarawa State. The persistent heavy rains have prompted the students to seek assistance from the university authorities. Mr. Felix emphasized the need for preventive measures to avoid future disruptions.

According to reports, several parts of the university premises are underwater, affecting lecture halls and hindering academic activities and acess to classes.

Mr. Felix, a concerned student, appealed to the school management for urgent intervention. He stated, “We are unable to attend lectures because of the flooding, which has impacted many of our classrooms. The rains have actually been heavy for some days now,but we want to appeal to the school management to help us on the matter so that we won't have to be absent from classes in the future because of the floods."

He added, “We hope the school management addresses this issue promptly so that we won’t miss classes due to floods.”

Mr.Felix further pointed to the location of some university buildings in low-lying areas,suggesting this contributed to the flooding. He urged the Federal Government to send land surveyors to assess the campus and propose solutions to the recurring floods.
