FUOYE Governing Council Sets Up Policy Drafting Committee for Smooth University Administration
The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) Governing Council has established a policy drafting committee to enhance the institution's administration.

The Governing Council of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Ekiti State, has constituted a policy drafting committee aimed at ensuring the smooth and hitch-free administration of the institution. The decision was reached at the Council’s 35th meeting, held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Council Chambers of the university.
Announcing the formation of the committee, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Council, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba SAN, stated that the committee will focus on drafting policies in critical areas, including:

Sexual Harassment Policy

Abscondment Policy

Corporate Social Responsibility Policy to regulate the university’s relationship with the host community

Public Engagement Policy

Social Media Regulations Policy

Students-Lecturers Policy
Senator Ndoma-Egba called on Council members, management, and both teaching and non-teaching staff to offer their maximum support to the committee. He highlighted that this initiative marks the first policy drafting committee since the institution’s establishment.
The Council Chairman emphasized that the current governing body inherited a backlog of fifty cases and one hundred and fifty abscondment cases, which necessitated the proactive step to reposition FUOYE to meet global academic and administrative standards.
