During a visit to the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on September 3, 2024, Vice-Chancellor Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh emphasized KWASU's dedication to upholding its mandate of teaching, research, and community service. He highlighted the university’s ongoing efforts to attract and retain high-quality teaching staff, ensuring that lecturers are well-equipped to deliver impactful education and conduct significant research.

Professor Jimoh assured the teaching staff of the university's support, including the provision of a conducive environment that fosters quality research. He underscored that excellent teaching staff are essential for delivering the core mandate of the university—providing top-notch education to students.

In his welcome address, Professor Isiaka Aliagan, Dean of the Faculty of ICT, shared that the faculty, established in 2009, now hosts over 7,000 students. He welcomed the Vice-Chancellor’s support and commitment to enhancing the faculty's educational environment.

The Vice-Chancellor also expressed his delight during a visit to the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, where he commissioned a 3.5 KVA solar inverter system donated by the 2023/2024 set of the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences Students Association (FMSSSA). This donation aligns with KWASU’s plans to install solar farms across its faculties, reflecting the university's commitment to community development and sustainability.

Professor Jimoh praised the initiative, noting that it demonstrates the university’s mantra of "A University for Community Development." He expressed appreciation for the faculty’s role in guiding students towards impactful decisions and pledged continued support for the faculty's needs.

Dr. Shehu Usman Adam, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, highlighted the achievements of the faculty since its establishment in 2023. He noted that the solar inverter would provide both electricity for academic activities and contribute to a sustainable environment. Additionally, he mentioned the faculty’s significant contributions to the university’s income generation through innovative business ventures.
