Nasarawa State University Research Workshop Demystifies Thesis Writing, Earns Praise from Participants

Participants at the two-day research methodology workshop organized by the Institute of Governance and Development Studies (IGDS) at Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), have commended the Institute's management, led by Director Professor Andrew Zamani. They expressed appreciation for how the workshop demystified the process of thesis and research writing.

The workshop, held from September 13 to 14, 2024, at the S.B. Mohammed Auditorium of the School of Postgraduate Studies, featured presentations by various experts on topics such as research problem selection, literature review, and data analysis. Participants noted that the resource persons clarified previously challenging aspects of research writing, which have posed obstacles to many scholars' academic progress.

The event was declared open by Vice-Chancellor Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed, represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Professor Theophilus Daniel Lagi, who praised the IGDS for its commitment to fostering a research-driven academic environment. The Deputy Director of IGDS, Dr. Usman Alhaji Yusuf, also thanked the university for its ongoing support.

Key speakers at the workshop included Professor Ibrahim G. Umar of Kaduna State University, Dr. Mohammed Bello Baban Umma of the Institute of Legislative and Democratic Studies, and Professor Hauwa Evelyn Yusuf, among others.

The workshop concluded with participants receiving certificates of attendance.
