NOUN Moodle Deployment Commended by Education Minister

The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has received commendation from the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, for its innovative deployment of Moodle, an open-source learning management system.

NOUN's Open and Distance Learning network is the second-largest in sub-Saharan Africa, serving diverse populations across urban and rural areas in Nigeria.

Dr. Alausa praised NOUN for setting the pace for educational innovation in Africa, highlighting the university's early adoption of Moodle at scale. He emphasized the significance of leveraging disruptive technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and Digital Learning Platforms, to democratize access to knowledge and foster inclusion.
