Plateau State Polytechnic Barkin Ladi Hosts 22nd NAVTED Conference

The 22nd National Conference and Exhibition of the Nigeria Association of Vocational and Technical Educators (NAVTED) is currently taking place at Plateau State Polytechnic Barkin Ladi. The conference, which commenced earlier this week, is being held in collaboration with the School of Vocational and Technical Education of the institution.

Dr. Clement Chirman, Acting Rector of Plateau State Polytechnic Barkin Ladi, reaffirmed the institution's dedication to enhancing staff productivity and support. Speaking at the conference’s opening, Dr. Chirman highlighted the event’s significance, emphasizing its role in fostering knowledge exchange and discussing best practices in vocational and technical education.

Themed "Artificial Intelligence as a Modern Instructional Technique in Vocational and Technical Education in Nigeria," the conference has attracted delegates from various institutions nationwide. Dr. Chirman stated that the conference offers a valuable platform for addressing sector challenges, exploring innovative solutions, and discussing ways to benefit students and the nation at large. He commended NAVTED for its ongoing efforts to advance excellence in vocational and technical education.

National President of NAVTED, Tahir Abdallah, who was represented by the Vice President, acknowledged the pivotal role of vocational and technical education in Nigeria's economic development. Abdallah emphasized the sector's impact on reducing unemployment and promoting sustainable growth.
