Seplat JV STEP Graduates 358 Teachers in Edo and Delta

In a bid to enhance the quality of education in Edo and Delta states, 358 teachers and Chief Inspectors of Education (CIE) have successfully graduated from the NNPC E&P Limited/Seplat Energy Joint Venture (JV) programme.
The graduation ceremony, which took place in Benin City, marked the culmination of the Seplat Teachers Empowerment Programme (STEP) and the 2024 edition of the Seplat JV Education Summit. The initiative underscores the commitment of the NNPC E&P Limited/Seplat Energy Joint Venture to support educational development in communities where Seplat Energy operates.

Mrs. Chioma Afe, the Director of External Affairs and Social Performance at Seplat Energy, highlighted the critical role of education in workforce development and economic growth. Akin-Olusoji Akinyele, the Group Managing Director of NewGlobe, delivered a keynote address on the theme 'Transforming the Education Workforce: A Critical Success Factor for Nation Building.' He underscored the importance of improving the quality of education and called for collaborative efforts to address challenges in the education sector.
The programme's success was attributed to the collaborative efforts of Seplat Energy, government partners, and other stakeholders. Nicolas Foucart, the Managing Director of NEPL, commended Seplat Energy for its commitment to educational development and urged other operators to emulate their example.
