Chrisland University has held its Sustainability Project 3.0, as student-innovators took the centre stage to showcase a vibrant display of innovation, creativity, and business acumen among students.
Held at the University Auditorium, this event showcased a dynamic blend of creativity, entrepreneurship, and sustainable solutions.
Students from various disciplines presented their entrepreneurial ventures, spanning technology, agriculture, fashion, and healthcare. From eco-friendly fashion lines to mental health apps, the projects reflected a commitment to innovation and impact.
The day featured a runway display by 200-level students and business idea presentations by 300-level students. Notable projects included recycled-material fashion, mental health apps, and organic farming initiatives. The pitch competition allowed selected startups to present their ideas to a panel of judges, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and collaboration.
During the opening address, Professor Chinedum Babalola, Vice-Chancellor of Chrisland University, emphasized the pivotal role of entrepreneurship in driving economic growth. She encouraged students to pursue their dreams with unwavering passion.
Dr. Ayodotun Ibidunni, Acting Head of the Department of Business Administration, lauded students for their creativity. Chrisland University's entrepreneurship program garnered national attention, with the third-highest entries in a recent contest.
On of the invited guests, Mr. Ibukun Obe, Founder and CEO of Premier Hub Innovation Centre, praised the university's efforts. As an entrepreneur, he recognized the potential impact of these student-innovators across industries.
