Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa (SLUK) has reaffirmed its dedication to fostering academic excellence and providing quality education through its School of Preliminary and Continuing Education (SPACE).

During an orientation program for newly admitted students of the IJMB and Remedial and University Preparatory Programme (RUPP) for the 2025/2026 academic session, the university's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Yakasai, emphasized the institution's commitment to supporting SPACE in achieving its goals.

The Vice-Chancellor, represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics, Eng. Professor Nasir Faruk, challenged SPACE's management and staff to strive for excellence, particularly in the upcoming 2026 IJMBE examinations. This comes after SPACE recently secured approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to offer eleven additional part-time degree programs, including Accounting, Economics, Business Management, and Computer Science, among others.

The Director of SPACE, Dr. Muhammad Abdulkadir, highlighted the significance of this approval, which aims to provide more opportunities for students to pursue higher education in various fields. The orientation program featured presentations on academic success strategies and campus life, aiming to equip students with the necessary tools for a fruitful academic journey. A football match between IJMB students and serving Corps Members concluded the event, promoting camaraderie and healthy competition within the university community.
