The Vice-Chancellor of Trinity University, Yaba, Lagos, Prof Clement Kolawole, affirmed the university's mission to establish itself as a distinct institution aimed at making a significant impact in the Nigerian education landscape. Speaking at the "Campus Flaws 2024" event, attended by over 700 senior secondary school students and teachers from private schools, Prof Kolawole reiterated Trinity University's commitment to producing well-rounded graduates and conducting research for societal advancement.

Trinity University, founded five years ago with just nine students, has grown to accommodate over 1,000 students across 16 fully accredited courses. Prof Kolawole emphasized the university's focus on quality education, stating that its workforce and environment are conducive to fostering creativity, innovation, and leadership skills among students.

The Vice-Chancellor highlighted Trinity University's approach to student development, including a comprehensive curriculum, cult-free environment, and exposure to activities that add value to their lives. He urged students to avoid negative behaviors such as cultism and examination malpractice.

Prof Kolawole also advocated for the inclusion of private universities in TETFund interventions, emphasizing the importance of fair treatment and equal opportunities for all tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
