The University of Maiduguri has issued detailed registration instructions for the 2023/2024 academic session.

The guidelines cover essential steps, from obtaining the admission letter to completing course registration and accessing additional services such as hostel applications.

Admission Letter: Begin by printing your admission letter.

Faculty Clearance: Visit your faculty for clearance after obtaining the admission letter.

Online Portal Access: Navigate to, where you will use your JAMB Reg. No. as the username and "umstad@2024" as the default password.

Password Change: Change your password for security reasons. The default password is automatically generated as "umstad2024." Create a new password, confirm it, and click on the update password button.

Payment Process: You will be redirected to payment details. Click on "pay now with Remita." After a successful payment, your ID No. will be generated automatically. Alternatively, you can go to verify and input your RRR number for verification.

Bursary Verification: Take your Remita printout to the Bursary Department for verification.

Dashboard Access: Once verified, you will be redirected to your dashboard as a registered student.

Course Registration: Proceed to course registration on your dashboard to view compulsory courses. For elective courses, select them manually, submit to complete registration, and download your course registration form.

Bio Data Form: Print your bio data form from your profile after completing registration.

Additional Activities: After registration, access other activities such as applying for hostels and more.

Important Note:

In case of network failure post-payment on the Remita portal, return to the payment section, input your RRR Number for verification.
