The management of Dominican University, Ibadan, and the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (NISLT) are exploring a collaboration aimed at enhancing capacity building and knowledge sharing.

The Vice Chancellor of Dominican University, Prof. Jacinta Opara, disclosed this during a courtesy visit to NISLT’s leadership, noting the shared goals between the university and the institute. Prof. Opara highlighted the university’s desire to partner with NISLT on knowledge exchange and facility sharing programs, involving both academic staff and students, to bolster teaching and research efforts.

Additionally, the university is seeking collaboration in the development of its microbiology programme, public education, and grant proposal co-authorship with NISLT. The VC emphasized that leveraging the institute’s expertise could enhance the university's grant acquisition opportunities.

NISLT Registrar/CEO, Yemi Hezekiah Gbadegesin, welcomed the proposed exchange programme and invited Dominican University to be a knowledge facilitator at the institute’s upcoming Artificial Intelligence training, while commending the university for its investment in ICT.
