 The Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN) has partnered with the University of Ibadan (UI) to enhance the marketing business by engaging students in the Faculty of Arts, specifically in the Communications department, on the intricacies of experiential marketing.

At the event marking the partnership, EXMAN President Tolulope Medebem outlined the association’s vision to cultivate talent within the experiential marketing sector. Medebem highlighted the significance of such collaborations in shaping the industry’s future workforce by bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical application.

Medebem and Vice President Angela Makinwa, whose leadership has been confirmed for a two-year term, presented a detailed report on their year-long tenure. Medebem began with a reflection on the past year’s challenges for both the country and the industry. She described the exco’s service plan, structured around the acronym THRIVE, which stands for Training and Thought Leadership, Harmony, Relationship, Inclusiveness, Value, and Engagement. "Our mission as an exco was built on these principles, and we have strived to achieve tangible results," she explained.

Makinwa provided insights into the association’s training initiatives, particularly the partnership with the Lagos Business School (LBS). "On February 1, 2024, EXMAN and LBS/Pan Atlantic formally launched the Experiential Marketing Management Programme (EMMP). This program aims to increase knowledge and awareness of experiential marketing while offering credible and worthwhile on-the-job training and overall manpower development," Makinwa stated.

In addition, EXMAN inducted eight new experiential marketing agencies into its membership, reinforcing its commitment to setting high standards within the industry.
