FULOKOJA Addresses Misunderstanding Over 8th Convocation Accommodation Plans
FULOKOJA Management addresses misinformation regarding accommodation arrangements during the 8th Convocation, affirming transparency and professional execution of all processes.
The Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) has issued a rejoinder addressing misinformation published online on November 18, 2024, regarding the accommodation arrangements during its recently concluded 8th Convocation Ceremony. The Management expressed concern over the article authored by Adam Isa Waziri, which misrepresented facts about the event.
In a statement, FULOKOJA clarified that Professor Sarah Yani, the University Librarian and a Principal Officer, chaired the Accommodation Committee, executing her role with competence and dedication for the third consecutive convocation. Claims of preferential treatment were refuted, with the university affirming that all high-profile guests were accommodated transparently, adhering to budgetary and procedural guidelines.
The university highlighted that all arrangements were supervised by Vice-Chancellor Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, ensuring fairness and seamless coordination. Positive feedback from distinguished guests further contradicted the publication's claims, with many commending the excellent organization.
Addressing the article's assertions of authority disregard, FULOKOJA confirmed that the Accommodation Committee maintained strict adherence to directives from the Vice-Chancellor and kept regular communication with Management.
FULOKOJA encouraged the public, including the article's author, to seek clarification through the University Public Relations Office and emphasized its commitment to excellence, transparency, and professionalism.
