The attention of Kaduna Polytechnic has been drawn to a Public Video alleging the unjustifiable expulsion of some of its students for examination misconduct.

Based on the above, the Management of Kaduna Polytechnic wishes to emphasize its zero tolerance against examination misconduct within the Institution. It has maintained an age-long standard on examination as guided by its rules and regulations governing the conduct of examination in the Institution:-

1. A group of students involved in examination misconduct were expelled in line with the provisions of the Federal Polytechnic Act and Kaduna Polytechnic Examination Regulations as ratified by the Academic Board.

2. The affected students chose to go public on the decisions taken in order to misguide the public and dent the image of the Institution despite the track record Kaduna Polytechnic has established.

The decisions taken were guided by thorough investigation backed with evidence by the relevant Committees within the Institution,

4. Student discipline is an internal exercise within the Institution, guided by the provisions of the Federal Polytechnic Act, Students Handbook and Examination Regulations.

5. The Public should note that due process was followed in the expulsion of the affected students and the Institution will neither compromise nor relent on upholding regulations governing conduct on examinations and maintaining the good image of the Institution.

6. The affected students have a Right to Appeal within a specified period of time in line with the Federal Polytechnic Act and Examination Regulations.
