The university has made it clear that only course registration forms (CRF) and examination cards featuring appropriate passport photographs will be endorsed by departments and recognized by the Examinations Monitoring Committee (EMC) during examinations.

Kebbi State University Issues New Guidelines for Student Profile Pictures

The Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero, has issued a directive to all students regarding the uploading of profile pictures on the university portal. The notice, released by the Directorate of Examination, Registration, and Management Information System, addresses the inappropriate use of images by students on their profiles.

The university has made it clear that only course registration forms (CRF) and examination cards featuring appropriate passport photographs will be endorsed by departments and recognized by the Examinations Monitoring Committee (EMC) during examinations. 

To ensure compliance, the passport photograph uploaded on the portal must meet the following criteria:

1. A colored photo with a white background, free of shadows, texture, or lines.

2. A recent photo taken within the last three months.

3. A clear image of the full face, with no part of the face covered (eyeglasses, P-caps, masks, niqabs, etc. are not allowed).

4. The photo must not be edited using computer software, phone apps, filters, or artificial intelligence.

5. The photo must be taken by someone else; selfies are not acceptable.

6. The image should be 35 mm in width and 45 mm in height, with a resolution of 600 dpi.

7. The head must occupy between 70% to 80% of the photograph from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head.

Students are advised to comply with these guidelines to avoid any complications during their academic processes.
