Ministry of Education and Senate Committee Collaborate for Education Reform

The Nigerian education sector is set for significant transformation as the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, and the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions unite to advance key initiatives aimed at reforming the system and addressing critical challenges.

Dr. Alausa highlighted the priority areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), as well as medical sciences, to build a skilled workforce capable of global leadership. He pledged to fully implement the National Policy on Education, ensuring a balanced curriculum development that prepares students for the future.

Senator Muntari Dandutse, Chairman of the Senate Committee, called for increased global partnerships to enhance the education system. He also urged the Ministry to prioritize sustainable power solutions, ensuring uninterrupted learning and access to modern educational resources.

Both leaders agreed on the importance of focused investment, efficient resource management, and strengthening global collaborations to create a resilient and future-ready education system for Nigeria.
