Modibbo Adama University Announces Certificate Collection Schedule and Mandatory Requirements
The Management of Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, has officially invited its recently convoked graduates to begin the collection of their original degree certificates. The exercise is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, 18th February 2026.
To streamline the process, the university has centralized all collection activities at the Academic Division Office, located in the New Administrative Block.
Graduates are required to present a comprehensive set of documents to verify their identity and academic status. These include:
Formal Application: A written request addressed to the Academic Secretary.
Academic Records: The original Statement of Result and the entry credentials used for admission (O’ Level for UTME or A’ Level for Direct Entry).
Identification: The original University ID card (or a Court Affidavit if lost), alongside a valid national ID (NIN, Voter’s Card, or Passport).
In compliance with the Treasury Single Account (TSA) policy, the university has set a certificate processing fee of Ten Thousand Naira (₦10,000.00).
The Step-by-Step Workflow:
Generate RRR: Visit the Remita website and select "Modibbo Adama University, Yola" for the "Certificate Collection Fee."
Payment: Complete the payment at any bank or via mobile banking.
Bursary Receipt: Exchange the Remita printout for an official university receipt at the Bursary.
Submission: Present all receipts and documents at the Academic Division for the release of the certificate.
Important Guidelines for Alumni
Proxy Collection: Collection by a third party is discouraged. Any proxy request requires a legalized Power of Attorney and is subject to strict approval by the Academic Secretary.
Technical Inquiries: For misplaced records or data discrepancies, graduates should visit Room C5 in the New Administrative Block.
Lamination Warning: The university advises graduates not to laminate their original certificates, as this can hinder future verification and the application of official seals for international evaluations.
This exercise marks the final official transition for alumni into their professional careers. Graduates are urged to ensure all names across their various documents match exactly to avoid administrative delays.
