NSUK and NAPTIN to Collaborate on Practical Training for Engineering Students

Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) and the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) are set to collaborate on providing practical training for engineering students.

The partnership aims to equip students with hands-on skills, enhancing their employability and entrepreneurial prospects.

A delegation from NSUK, led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, visited NAPTIN's headquarters in Abuja to discuss the collaboration. Professor Liman emphasized the need for practical training to complement theoretical knowledge, enabling students to become self-employed or employers of labor.

Engr. Ahmed Bolaji Nagode, Director of NAPTIN, highlighted the institute's readiness to address the low employability of Nigerian graduates. He assured that NAPTIN would cooperate fully with NSUK to implement the partnership.

 

A committee has been established to develop a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlining the terms of the collaboration. The partnership is expected to enhance the quality of engineering education at NSUK and provide students with industry-relevant skills.
