NSUK VC Prof Liman Commends Gov. Sule for Prioritizing Education in 2025 Budget
The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, has praised Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for allocating ₦78.1 billion (20.4% of the 2025 budget) to the education sector, highlighting it as a groundbreaking investment in the state's future.
The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, has expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, for his exceptional commitment to education.
Governor Sule allocated ₦78.1 billion—equivalent to 20.4% of the ₦382 billion 2025 budget estimate—to the education sector. Professor Sa’adatu hailed this allocation as unprecedented, emphasizing that it represents a generational investment in the state's development.
"Education is the foundation of progress, and the governor’s prioritization of this sector demonstrates visionary leadership and a dedication to the state's long-term growth," she stated.
The Vice-Chancellor also commended Governor Sule’s continued support for NSUK, citing notable projects such as the construction of a 4.5-kilometer internal road network and other infrastructural upgrades. These efforts, she noted, have contributed to the university being ranked the second-best state university in Nigeria by Times Higher Education.
Governor Sule recently presented the 2025 budget proposal to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, themed "Budget of Economic Growth and Stability," emphasizing investments in key sectors to ensure sustainable development.
Professor Sa’adatu encouraged stakeholders to support the governor’s vision for education and expressed confidence in the positive impact it would have on students, faculty, and the broader community.
