Postagvest Solutions Ltd, under the leadership of its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Olajumoke Ekundayo, has announced a new partnership with Peace and Joy Group of Schools in Ikere Ekiti. This collaboration, which is part of Postagvest’s Raise a Farmer Initiative (RAFI), is aimed at equipping students with essential farming skills and agricultural business principles.
The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and is designed to spark students' interest in agriculture while preparing them for future careers in agribusiness. According to Postagvest’s Chief Operating Officer, Mayowa Ekundayo, the initiative seeks to enrich students' educational experiences by providing them with hands-on training in agriculture.
As part of the program, the RAFI School Club will be introduced, offering students practical training in vegetable production and agribusiness. “This partnership represents a significant advancement in our mission to cultivate the next generation of agribusiness leaders,” said Dr. Olajumoke Ekundayo. “Through the RAFI School Club, we’re not only imparting valuable skills but also instilling a deep appreciation for sustainable agricultural practices that will benefit students and their communities.”

The MoU outlines that the RAFI School Club will receive support from Postagvest in the form of training sessions led by industry professionals, mentorship opportunities, monitoring, and the establishment of a practical learning plot equipped with modern agricultural tools. The school, in turn, will promote the club, encourage active student participation, and provide the necessary infrastructure for the program’s success.

A unique aspect of the program, as noted by Ekundayo, is that Postagvest Solutions Ltd will purchase 80 percent of the harvested produce at market prices. This initiative offers students a real-world experience in agricultural commerce, helping them understand the business side of farming.
Olaoluwa Adebiyi, Director of Peace and Joy Group of Schools, praised the partnership, stating, “The RAFI School Club aligns perfectly with our vision of delivering a holistic education that prepares students for life beyond examinations. We are eager to witness the impact this initiative will have on our students and the community.”
The school club initiative is designed to showcase the transformative potential of integrating agriculture with education and innovation. It is expected to serve as a model for similar programs across Nigeria, promoting sustainable agricultural practices and inspiring the next generation of agribusiness leaders.
