Payment Halt: Students are instructed to pause all portal-related payments until the university management resolves the ongoing technical issues.

Management Engagement: SUG President, Comr. Martins Marvellous Chukwumeka, confirmed that the Union has engaged with the ICTC Director and escalated the matter to the Vice-Chancellor for urgent attention.

Call for Calm: Students were urged to maintain composure and avoid spreading unverified information that could cause confusion or panic.

Unity Against Misinformation: The Union emphasized that it is actively monitoring the situation and working to ensure transparency and fairness for all students.
In an official statement, President Chukwumeka said:
"We are advocating for your interests at the highest level, and we anticipate a positive, fair resolution that eases the burden on every student. We stand with you, and we will not rest until this is settled."
The directive, dated January 30, 2026, was e-signed by the SUG President, Comr. Martins Marvellous Chukwumeka, and the Secretary General, Comr. Wondah Victory George.
