Schools and commercial banks in Warri South and Uvwie experienced a shutdown as a result of the ongoing nationwide strike led by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC). The strike was initiated in protest of the recent assault on NLC President Joe Ajaero in Imo State.
