WAAW Foundation Launches New Chapter at COOU

The WAAW Foundation has established a new chapter at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Uli. Led by WAAW STEM Fellows, the chapter will run outreach programs to inspire secondary school students, especially young women, to pursue STEM careers. Planned activities include workshops, mentorship programs, and motivational talks to promote STEM education and innovation in the region.

The Working to Advance African Women(WAAW) Foundation is excited to announce the establishment of a new chapter at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Uli, marking a significant advancement in promoting STEM education across Nigeria.

This new chapter will be led by WAAW Foundation STEM Fellows, a dedicated group of students committed to enhancing STEM education in their community. They will focus on outreach programs for secondary schools in the region, aiming to inspire and encourage students—particularly young women—to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Key initiatives planned by the chapter include:
