FUTA VC Applauds JAMB for Successful Conduct of 2024 UTME

The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Professor Adenike Oladiji, has commended the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for the smooth conduct of the 2024 Universities Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Professor Adenike Oladiji, has lauded the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for the smooth organization of the 2024 Universities Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

As the National External Examiner for the UTME in Ondo State, Professor Oladiji conducted an on-the-spot assessment of several examination centers on Friday, April 19, 2024. Following her evaluation, she expressed satisfaction with the seamless conduct of the examination, highlighting the effective measures put in place to ensure a hitch-free process, including the release of candidates' results.

"After visiting various centers in Akure and its environs, I can confirm that the UTME is progressing smoothly," remarked Professor Oladiji. "Candidates, along with their parents, guardians, and officials, have demonstrated commendable adherence to the rules and regulations. The FUTA Center stands out for its organization, with well-trained staff efficiently managing their responsibilities. While the operation is commendable, there's always room for improvement."

Supporting Professor Oladiji's observations, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Ondo State, Mrs. Folasade Adegoke, praised the efficient management of the examination. She emphasized that such meticulous planning would undoubtedly lead to candidates' satisfaction with the examination results.

Mrs. Adegoke also commended FUTA for providing conducive facilities for the UTME. She expressed optimism that candidates would experience a hassle-free examination process, further enhancing their confidence in the integrity of the examination system.

The successful conduct of the 2024 UTME reflects the collaborative efforts of educational institutions and examination bodies in ensuring a transparent and efficient admission process for prospective university students.
