Gombe State University (GSU) successfully hosted a two-day Leadership, Excellence, and Development (LEAD) Workshop in collaboration with the College of Education and Legal Studies, Nafada. The event, held on November 18-19, 2024, aimed to enhance leadership competencies and institutional performance within the College.

The workshop, which took place at the African Development Bank Lab of GSU, brought together Deans, Heads of Departments, and Directors from the College of Education and Legal Studies. It was officially inaugurated by GSU’s Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta, and the Acting Provost of the College, Professor Safiyanu Ishiyaku.

Led by Training Coordinator Professor O. A. Adepoju and a team of seasoned experts, the sessions delved into crucial areas such as leadership skills, effective communication, administrative and financial management, data-driven decision-making, and fostering partnerships. These areas were designed to equip participants with practical tools for improving institutional operations and advancing academic excellence.

In his opening remarks, Professor Yauta emphasized GSU's dedication to fostering partnerships with educational institutions across Gombe State through impactful capacity-building initiatives. Echoing this sentiment, Professor Ishiyaku highlighted the workshop’s transformative potential for staff development and institutional growth.
