The National Teachers’ Institute (NTI), Kaduna, has taken delivery of 6,884 Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) certificates from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Abuja, in a development that has brought widespread relief to affected graduates nationwide.

The certificates were formally collected on Wednesday, December 17, by the Director and Chief Executive of NTI, Professor Sadiya Sani Daura, following sustained administrative engagements with the university authorities.

The retrieved certificates cover PGDE graduates from the 2013 to 2017 academic years who completed their programmes but had awaited the release of their certificates. Stakeholders have described the development as a significant milestone that marks the culmination of years of academic effort and uncertainty for thousands of graduates.

According to information released by the Institute, the certificates have already arrived at NTI headquarters and will be dispatched to the various NTI state offices for onward collection by beneficiaries.

Professor Daura, while expressing satisfaction with the progress made, reaffirmed her commitment to resolving all outstanding certificate-related issues. She disclosed that efforts are ongoing to secure the release of remaining pending certificates from NOUN and other affiliated universities.

Observers have commended the NTI leadership for what they described as decisive and results-driven intervention, noting that the move restores confidence among graduates and strengthens the Institute’s administrative credibility.
