In a groundbreaking announcement during the 2023 World Teachers Day Celebration at Anambra Teachers’ House, Awka, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State has unveiled ambitious plans to overhaul public school infrastructure and enhance the teaching workforce in a bid to provide top-notch education for underprivileged children.

Governor Soludo, addressing the gathering, expressed a resolute commitment to eliminate the reliance on Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) teachers, outlining his vision for a comprehensive rejuvenation of the education system. He stressed the pivotal role of teachers, acknowledging them as the cornerstone of societal progress and emphasizing that everyone owes their success to the dedication and hard work of educators.

Furthermore, Governor Soludo shared plans to furnish public school libraries with essential textbooks, facilitating students' easy access to learning materials free of charge. Seeking support from Governor Soludo, the chairman outlined key areas requiring attention, including the provision of security for schools, the employment of more teachers in public schools, implementation of the new age requirement for teachers, promotion of educators, and assistance in procuring transportation buses.
