In a move aimed at further empowering adolescent girls in Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu has approved additional funding. The Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, made this announcement while addressing State House Correspondents following the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Minister Mamman elaborated on the importance of this initiative, stating, "One of the major policies of the government is to target the education, training, and empowerment of young girls in society. Minister Mamman also emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring that the number of girls and individuals who are out-of-school is reduced if not entirely eliminated.

Additionally, the Federal Executive Council made a crucial decision during the meeting to review policy related to the Public Procurement Act. This move aims to enhance the handling of projects and government activities in Nigeria, with the goal of improving efficiency and transparency.
