University of Abuja Students Receive Training for Opportunities in Japan

University of Abuja Students Receive Training for Opportunities in Japan

The University of Abuja's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abdul-Rasheed Na'Allah, has announced that over 200 students from the institution are presently undergoing training to work with Japanese companies. He made this statement during the 3rd Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Chair event held at the University of Abuja campus, with the theme "Making of Modern Japan."

Prof. Na'Allah highlighted the importance of developing countries, including Nigeria, learning from Japan's success story. He stressed that there are opportunities available for students to study the Japanese language. He further revealed that more than 200 students from the University are currently undergoing training to work with Japanese companies, demonstrating the enthusiasm and commitment of the University to promote this opportunity.Prof. Na'Allah also emphasized the need to eliminate industrial disputes within the University system, expressing the University's commitment to preventing further strikes, aiming for uninterrupted education.

In his presentation on "Nigeria's Relations with Asia: Issues and Prospects," Prof. Afaha Philip, the Deputy Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Department of History and Diplomatic Studies, highlighted the positive impact of the Japan-Nigeria relationship on Nigeria's economic development. He also proposed that the University's Engineering Department should consider studying Toyota and establishing a plant on the University campus.
