Meanwhile, the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Enugu State Chapter, expressed appreciation to Governor Peter Mbah for implementing the N30,000 minimum wage for primary school teachers. The NUT reiterated its stance against acts of indiscipline, affirming that the dismissed teachers were not members of the NUT executive and had not consulted the union before their actions.

The Chairman of Enugu NUT, Comrade Theophilus Nweke, pledged the teachers' unwavering support for Governor Mbah's efforts to reform the education sector. Nweke highlighted the governor's responsiveness to teachers' concerns and the ongoing payment of wage awards to cushion the economic impact on teachers.

In closing, Ajah reiterated ENSUBEB's stance against misconduct and truancy, reaffirming the Board's commitment to maintaining discipline and fostering an environment conducive to quality education delivery in Enugu State.
